How I balance school, life, the gym, & my mental health

  1. The gym is a priority, just like going to class. Going to the gym can increase your energy, make you more productive, & help your mental health, so it is one of the most important things that I make sure I do

  2. Anytime I have free time I am always looking at what school work I can get ahead on, I’ll even do school work while walking on the treadmill if it’s something that simple to get done, but getting ahead will make you less stressed & give you more time to do other things you enjoy

  3. I always set aside time to socialize. If I isolate myself and just go to class & the gym my mental health will suffer. It is all intertwined so if I take time to relax and be with friends I will be able to have better mental health, making school work easier

  4. Therapy!!! Your mental health is not something that should be ignored. Therapy isn’t just for people who are struggling, it is an amazing thing that I think everyone should do at some point in their life

Overall, if you do things that take care of your mental health (including going to the gym), it’ll be easier to get your schoolwork done, giving you more time to do things you enjoy! It’s a cycle & I know it can feel impossible sometimes, but you got this. And if you really can’t take care of yourself while also doing school, you should take a step back and figure out why that is happening <3
