“you’ll never regret a workout”

Went to the gym this morning, did one exercise, and decided to call it quits
AND THAT’S OKAY!
My body wasn’t feeling its best and instead of forcing myself through what would end up being a sh*tty workout, I decided to listen to what my body was telling me
“You’ll never regret a workout” is something you often hear in the fitness community. But honestly, if that workout is only going to make you more burnt out, you shouldn’t do it! Take the rest so that you can come back 100%
If you continue to push yourself when your body isn’t feeling well, it will get harder and harder to train at the intensity you need to in order to make progress
It’s alllll about the long game and if rest is what you need, rest is what you should have
